SimpleScan Station

Print inspection with the SimpleScan Station

Print inspection should be carried out as quickly as possible! On the other hand, the quality assurance department cannot be manned permanently or positioned at the printing presses. So far, the printed sheets were physically brought to quality assurance.

MediaCheck has now a solution here and separates the scanning and evaluation processes:

  • The printed sheets are scanned in where they are created – at the printing presses in the production.
  • The quality assurance works in your office or in your home office and evaluates the quality of the printed sheets – promptly and regardless of location!

With the SimpleScan station, every employee in production can scan the printed sheets with just a few entries – after setting up the job, after changing rolls or pallets, after changing plates. He scans the sheet and then returns to his machine.

Moments later, the quality assurance receives the results of the print inspection on their screen – in their own office or in the home office. She can assess the deviations. After evaluating the deviations, the machine operator is informed via the SimpleScan station, by email or by phone.

If everything is fine, the machine operator can be sure! If serious deviations are found, the job can be stopped immediately. The error can be corrected. Follow-up costs are avoided. Material and working time are saved.

The base of the MediaCheck system – the server-client principle – has proven itself again here and enables flexibility in the processes of your company.

The connection of our MediaCheck system to existing workflow systems for automatic data inspections in prepress was the beginning and an important step in the preparation for further automation steps, which we use with our SimpleScan Station – the youngest member of the MediaCheck system.

Have we piqued your curiosity? Talk to us and make an appointment. We would be happy to present the SimpleScan Station to you personally or virtually.

  • Flipping and free rotation of references
  • Scanning a reference, which allows a comparison of a scanned image  against another scan.
  • The integration of another large format scanner, which thanks to the USB 3 interface with high transmission speeds and a maximum scan width of up to 44″  contributes to even faster work.

All of this and much more awaits you in the current version 3.2, which we would also be happy to present to you in full. Just talk to us and make an appointment quickly. Pemex Show India

Media Check on Pamex 2020

Our partner Advanced Grahic Systems presents Media Check on Pamex, booth 1.F07!

Many Indian printing companies and some Indian pharmaceutical companies already use our Media Check print inspection system to support their quality management. Our partner Advanced Graphic Systems and our general manager Dietrich Maegerlein inform our customers about the latest innovations in our system.

For the Indian market we developed the module Scan to Scan. Printed packaging can be scanned and compared against a scanned reference.

For all customers we integrated a bar code check module in Media Check. Any barcode in the PDF-file can be checked and decoded. Therefore errors in bar codes can be detected before printing on an early stage!

Media Check Version 3.1 launched now!

At tec4check we develop continually our Media Check System. Basis of improvement is the feedback of our customers about their needs. Again, with Media Check Version 3.1, we have managed to implement not only product maintenance and stability improvements In addition, we have also integrated some new functionalities that make working even easier and more efficient.

In Media Check Version 3.1 we have added flexible filters to the audit trail. Events and entries in the audit trail can be searched easily by different filters and even exported as a separate PDF report.

With a further innovation of Media Check Version 3.1 the server configuration can be accessed and changed from the client. In this way the administrator can define many central settings of the MediaCheck configuration, such as the protocol export and the lifetime of inspection jobs – conveniently and easily from the normal client.

For better understanding the color distance and adaption, we have implemented additional displays that illustrate the chosen settings and their tolerance. You can see the difference relativ to the current parameter settings. The feeling for the parameters and their effect becomes clear, the parameterization simpler and thus the way to the optimal inspection result will be greatly simplified.

With the version 3.1 the connection module integrates MediaCheck into workflows based on hotfolders. The folderdaemon in the connection module allows the surveillance by the users – easily!

The booklet module can now work with templates. This increases automation for the checks of books or multi page products.

If you are interested, please give us a call or send us a mail. We will present voluntarily our Media Check!!
